Kimono is the one garment that is necessary for the summer/spring. As I mention on my previous blog, San Francisco is the windy city that dramatic temperature changes throughout the day and dress with layerings are the important key point. Kimino is one of the garments that can replace all kind of jackets for these weather. Last blog I have blogged a short light weighted kimono. This blog I am wearing a velvet kimono with a longer length. It is much suitable for a bit cooler weather/windy day.
Velvet evokes luxury, high-end but Don’t feel like velvet is hard to wear. I personally like velvet garment a lot. Velvet is actually adding an interesting touch to any outfit. Don’t be afraid of the prints and pattern on kimono. It goes well with a total black outfit which actually allows the design on the kimono to be more standout. You can dress for the boho look with high waisted jeans or black skinny with Oxford boots. If you are afraid of the over “mature” feeling and want to be a bit casual, match it with denim (denim really the best for lots of outfits). Get some t-shirt and pumps.
